Capturing children and families naturally

Children can grow and change so quickly and your family story is constantly evolving; let me document your unique relationship and preserve it for years to come. Family life is busy and I can honestly say that I understand how hard it can be to fit everything in; sometimes simply getting out of the door together and at the same time is an achievement. Taking considered photos and appearing in them is next to impossible.

A portrait session with me is relaxed. I will work around you and observe family life as it unfolds. There is no time pressure which means I can capture special moments as they occur organically whilst you all enjoy having fun together. I only work with natural light and believe that this adds to the authenticity of my photography. It also leaves me free to move around exploring different viewpoints and compositions so that I can be creative as possible.

How it works

I like to begin my family photo shoots early when the light is at its best and young children in particular are full of beans. We can start at your home and then go to one of your favourite spots or visa versa. We’ll let the weather and your little people guide us.
I will quickly build up a good rapport with your children so that we can have lots of fun getting to know what brings out their personalities and has you all in fits of laughter.

When to book

This is, of course, down to personal choice. However, it may be that you would like professional photos to document a special occasion, such as a birthday or family gathering. If this is the case, then please let me know well in advance so that I can secure that date for you.
