“We looked high and low for a lifestyle photographer to capture our family following the birth of our daughter. We wanted something natural and relaxed that documented us all and struggled to find it. When we saw Clare’s work we knew she would be able to get something unique from the shoot; something that felt like ‘us’ and personal rather than the generic newborn photographs you see repeated over and over again. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the results! Clare was able to find the best spots in our home for portraits as well as capturing some candid shots in between set ups. Neither of us are comfortable in front of the camera but Clare put us at ease and we didn’t notice that she was actually taking photos! She showed patience with our young son and encouraged him into some candid pictures as well as beautifully framing all the details of our newborn daughter. ”

“My daughter and I had a photo session with Clare on our holiday in Spain last year. It was a very special and much needed holiday for us, after a difficult year of divorce and loss, so I decided to get some pictures as a lasting memory of what was a very precious time. It's not something I would normally do, as I really hate having my picture taken. I tend to feel self conscious and awkward, and hate the results, but Clare was absolutely wonderful.
Clare took us to a quiet and pretty location, with relative privacy, and encouraged us to relax, move around and be playful. She was friendly, patient and considerate and directed only very gently, so the whole thing felt very natural. Clare was wonderful with my daughter who, unlike me, loves the camera, and got her full cooperation and attention. She really understood us and saw our bond; this was borne out when I saw the pictures, which absolutely captured us and brought tears to my eyes.
The whole thing was a happy and enjoyable experience. I have the pictures on my wall and in my office and they make me smile every day.”

I have used Clare twice for photography sessions - with my family and then with my parents and my son. Clare has a calming personality and puts you at ease which enables everyone to relax and allows her to capture those special moments. We were recommended Clare by close friends and were very happy with our family shoot that we arranged for my son's first birthday. She was extremely understanding when it came to scheduling the shoot around weather considerations and very patiently talked us through the logistics of the shoot, a suitable dress code and toys/props that it would be useful to have on hand to keep our son engaged. My son was very comfortable through the shoot and Clare was a real pleasure to work with, chatting with my in laws and ensuring they were comfortable and able to take natural photos.
